Financial Aid

SRJO is committed to making volleyball affordable for all community members regardless of the level of play.

Minimum required payment for all players. Financial Aid is then applied to the cost of the season.

• Players must pay the tryout fee to register for tryouts.
• Families must submit their $300 deposit check for volunteer hours (this check WILL NOT be cashed unless volunteer hour requirements are not met by the end of the season)
• In the case that a full scholarship award is NOT made, families are responsible for any remaining balance after scholarship funds have been applied

Eligibility

A player may be eligible to receive SRJO Financial Assistance if their family earnings are at or below Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG).

Guidelines

• Eligibility for SRJO Financial Assistance does not guarantee that a player will receive assistance
• Funds are limited and there may not be funds for all applicants
• Families must provide supporting documents online for a player to be considered. Incomplete applications will not be considered
• If a family is deemed ineligible to receive Financial Assistance, the player will be notified by the SRJO Board via email and billed for the remaining amount due
• SRJO will maintain Financial Assistance data in strict confidence

Application Deadlines

Priority deadline: 11/15/2025

• After November 15, 2025, awards will only be made as long as funds are available.

Required Documentation

With the on-line form, you MUST upload supporting documentation. 

All applications MUST include the following:

• First two pages of the most recently completed 1040 Federal Income Tax Return.
• Player Statement

Steps to Apply

1. Read player statement prompt (information found here)
2. Copy & paste prompt information into a new Word document or Google doc and prepare the player statement
3. Under “Resources” tab, select “Financial Aid”, scroll down to the bottom and click the application button
4. Fill out the application and upload required documentation

Notifications

Families will be notified regarding the status of an application within four weeks of a completed registration. The SRJO Board will contact applicants via email.

To ensure that Financial Aid Applications are completed as quickly as possible please be prompt in responding to any questions you may receive about your application.

Please be sure you have reviewed the above information carefully. When you are ready, click the button below to apply for financial aid. Priority applications are due by 11:59 pm November 15, 2025.
